I usually arrive with a plan, find one useful item, then somehow leave carrying six things I don’t need and no room for the thing I went there for.
Do you prioritize weapons first, medical supplies, clothing, or something else? Also curious whether people prefer a quiet route or a faster run through the high-value areas.

I check medical supplies and basic utility items before chasing a better weapon. A fancy rifle doesn’t help much when you’re bleeding in a shed.
The quiet route is usually better unless you’re specifically hunting for a certain item.
I use a simple rule: decide what would make me turn around before I enter. Otherwise I just wander through every building because “maybe the next one has something.”
That rule is painfully accurate.
DayZ inventory management is 50 percent survival and 50 percent arguing with yourself over whether you need one more canteen.
